Brisbane-based culinary creatives Mal Meiers, Tabitha Thomson and Caroline Toh will be baking up a storm with Jocelyn’s Provisions in support of Lifeline Australia, Sunday 30 May at Albion Fine Trades.
Aptly titled, Bake Over, Meiers (formerly Gerard’s Bar and Agnes Bakery), Thomson (formerly Arc Dining and Gerard’s Bistro) and Toh (Jocelyn’s Provisions) will be taking over the kitchen from 8AM.
All are invited to savour Smoked Potato Sourdough, buttery Bee Stings with local Bee One Third honey, Turmeric and Pumpkin Loaves, Kouign Amanns, Kamut and Potato Roman-Style Pizza to Pulled Pork Pies – an epicurean delight.
A portion of the proceeds from the Bake Over will be donated to Lifeline Australia, so you can enjoy your treats guilt free and support their invaluable services.
The Bake Over is the first in a series of food events coming to Brisbane this winter. Titled, Any Given Sunday, the ongoing events are a collaboration between Brisbane Sommelier Kate Christensen and chefs Meiers and Thomson. The series advocates the importance of provenance, seasonality and sustainability when thinking about and enjoying food.
